MEAGHAMANN MUSIC REVIEW
Staring : Arya, Hansika Motwani, Sudhanshu Pandey
Director : Magizh Thirumeni
Music : Thaman
Production : V. Hitesh Jhabak
After Thadaiyara Thakka, Magizh Thirumeni returns to direct Arya and Hansika in Meaghamann, an action thriller in a dock's backdrop. Thaman composes the music, how has it gone?
Meaghamann : Singers - MM. Manasi and MM.Monisha, Lyrics - Karky ( PICK )
A short title track, with loud electro. Lasting only for a couple of minutes, this one is a track sung in praise of the hero. Karky does his job with the pen and this wi;l sound electrifying if used in the BGM.
Yaen Ingu Vandhaan : Singer - Pooja AV, Lyrics - Karky
Pooja modulates her vocals to something retro, as the rendering is mainly pulled for most parts of the song. The accordion dominates the music for most parts, with light percussions. Above all, it is the chorus bits which make this track listenable.
Yaaro Yaaro : Singer - Megha, Lyrics - Eknaath
A fast paced track with a rock base. Probably filmed as an item number, it is nothing more than a filler. Musically and lyrically, there is nothing to say here as the album is coming to a close already.
A rehash of the first song, with limited background vocals. Period.
While everyone here is waiting for him to recreate the magic that he usually creates in Telugu, Thaman's outing in Meaghamann isnt a great one. It would be fair to say that the album doesn't provide him enough space to prove himself. Two tracks out of 4 are the same, and the rest is just passersby. The team could have done away without an audio release for these are just tracks which will lie somewhere until the movie pops out.

Verdict : A ship without water. Futile.
